Kawakawa/Towai/Paihia have instigated a 2-3 monthly clothing giveaway day to assist families in Northland. They have gathered excess clothing from Op shops ie St Francis Tairua LSM and Thames St John’s and then set up their hall at Kawakawa or a hall in Moerewa for families to come and take what they need for themselves or for others.

This initiative has been overwhelming for both the people receiving and for the people giving, with genuine conversations and relationships forming as they assist in their community needs.
