Dear Presiders and worship leaders
Suggested opening for services this Sunday.
At the beginning of the service the presider to say:
Dear people of God,
we’ve all been shocked, saddened and gutted by the terror attack and shooting of the people in the Mosques in Christchurch.
As people of faith, we reach our in all compassion to those who have lost their lives and those who will bear the scars of this tragic and senseless tragedy praying that God will be with them and those communities impacted in this darkest time.
We commend to your gracious keeping all who have died; welcome them into your divine presence and heavenly banquet and the hope of the resurrection.
Time of silence is kept
Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord.
And let light perpetual shine upon them.
Sing the hymn Amazing Grace.
