Season of Creation – Jubilee for the Earth

This year, the theme for the season is “Jubilee for the Earth”. We invite you to consider the integral relationship between rest for the earth and ecological, economic, social and political ways of living. This particular year, the need for just and sustainable systems has been revealed by the far-reaching effects of the global COVID pandemic.

This guide will help you learn about the season and plan to celebrate it. More resources, including webinars and prayer services, a Facebook group, and photos, are available online. Please visit to access all the materials.

SOC 2020 Final Jubilee for the Earth

Eco Church NZ

The Eco Church NZ Project is a bold new initiative of A Rocha Aotearoa New Zealand to support churches to actively care for God’s earth as an integral part of their mission. Check it out here.

We are responding to three biblical challenges:

  1. Living a faithful life – following Jesus

  2. Loving our neighbours in a resource-limited world

  3. Reflecting and protecting the glory of God

End of Life Choice referendum – helpful resource

The Final Choice by Caralise Trayes

A Kiwi journalist on the hunt for the truth about assisted dying and the End of Life Choice Act. Join her on a journey of discovery as she tells the stories of those with terminal illness and interviews lawyers, doctors, ethicists and clerics around New Zealand and the world.

Written in a remarkably personable way while plunging into some of life’s most challenging topics, Caralise separates fact from fallacy, and resurfaces with intriguing results. Includes interviews from David Seymour MP, Shirley Seales (mother of the late Lecretia Seales), and Mary Panko of the End-of-Life Choice Society, as well as influencer and disabilities advocate Claire Freeman, palliative care expert Professor Roderick MacLeod MNZM and Disability Rights Commissioner Paula Tesoreiro MNZM among many others.

What are the 2 referendum topics?

At the same time you vote in the General Election, you can vote in 2 referendums.
